This is just a real quick, not full episode, kind of a shameless slash shameful plug.
I put in a proposal to speak this coming year in 2026 at South by Southwest.
I'm looking to speak on the topic of kind of escaping echo chambers and, you know,
overcoming slash avoiding slash knowing when you're part of confirmation bias and those
sorts of things, which I think, you know, in today's world, things have become, and I've
talked about this before on the show, things have become so polarized where it's almost
difficult to have a difference of opinion.
And if it's difficult to have a difference of opinion, then it's very difficult to also
be exposed to new opinions and broaden your worldview.
And I think all of that kind of creates a pretty bad cycle.
So anyway, that's sort of the general topic of the presentation I'd like to give.
The way South by Southwest works is that you put a proposal in and then community voting
goes up and that's worth some percentage of whether or not you get picked to speak at the
event.
So I think it's something like a 50-50 split or a 40-60 split or something.
So we are currently in this community voting phase.
The reason I'm putting this little short episode up is just if you're a listener and
that sounds interesting to you or you just want to support me or whatever, take a look
at the description.
There'll be a link there for voting.
And I really appreciate your support.
I'd love to go out and speak at this.
After the community voting, there is still another phase where judges take a look at the topics
and things and then make the final decisions.
But any voting from anyone in the community would be very helpful.
So thank you in advance.
And if this sounds interesting at all, I would be aiming to put up a recording of some sort
of that in the future.
But for the time being, just trying to get through the voting round.
If you could drop a vote, the link's in the description.
Thanks so much.
